A catalog designed for you (III)

In this third post in which we want to tell you how our extensive catalog has evolved over the years, we are going to talk to you about car seats, which we will never tire of saying is without a doubt the most important of all the things you buy for a baby. We already told you how light chairs and strollers, high chairs and hammocks have changed, but also how wooden cribs, travel cribs and mini cribs have changed. And we always insist, these changes are not due to anything other than your demands, and the demands of dads and moms like you, who seek the best for their children. It is evident that these demands must be more accentuated if we talk about the safety of children in cars, and that is why we have not stopped expanding our catalog of car seats in recent years, always seeking to offer you and customers like you, a car seat adapted to each need: with isofix, with belt or dual installation; for utility vehicles or for larger vehicles; evolutionary chairs from birth to 135 cm or 36 kg, chairs from birth to 105 cm or 18 kg or chairs for children weighing more than 18 kg or taller than 105 cm...in short, chairs for different uses, for different circumstances and for different types of families, with only children or with a greater number of children.

Without a doubt, car seats are the childcare item that has evolved the most in the last 10 years: the increasing awareness of parents about safety, especially the importance of carrying children rear-facing, and the various regulatory changes have meant that at ASALVO we have been incorporating increasingly safer seats into our catalogue.

As you know, there are two European regulations that govern the approval of car seats. The oldest of them is the one known as regulation R44/04, which is still in force, although it is increasingly giving way to the most recent one known as regulation R129 or I-size. Currently, Asalvo's creative and technical team works with both regulations, always prioritizing safety, and that is why in our catalog you can find chairs approved with both regulations.

Our first car seats are already behind us: our first swivel chair like the 360 Fix; the Wonder Fix group 1-2-3 chair, which was highly demanded by our customers for its safety-price ratio; the Master FIX car seat, the Sport Fix, the L-Fix and the successful Confort Fix, all four of group 1-2-3; the Relax fix chair, the Cirfix chair, one of the first evolutionary chairs on the market that swivel and has dual installation, etc. Of all these chairs we have kept the best of each of them, we have been improving them and adding the technical and safety innovations that have been appearing.

The first car seat with the new I-size regulation that we added to our catalog was the VIRAFIX seat, a seat that ranges from 40 to 105 cm, swivel, with support leg and anti-roll arch, and with the efficient SPS+ side protection system (side protection system plus). It is currently still in our catalog, accompanied by a similar version called PROTECT FIX, whose name refers to protection against side impacts, which as you know is mandatory in seats approved under this I-size regulation.

Our catalog also currently includes several evolutionary car seats, which your little one can use for as long as the seat is mandatory: up to 36 kg or up to 135 cm: the GIRAFIX, TUTTO FIX and AUSTEN car seats, which are 3 models of swivel seats, approved with the R44 regulation, with side protections and the possibility of installing them with isofix and the top tether, and also with the belt of your vehicle, as they are dual chairs. The PHOENIX FIX chair is also an evolutionary chair, which also has a double installation and has a support leg with an anti-tip function. And finally, the latest addition to our catalog is also evolutionary: the STAR FIX car seat, a seat approved with the I-size regulations, which you can use up to 135 cm, with side protectors and simple installation using isofix and top teether.

Of course, we also have car seats for older children in our current catalogue. These car seats we are referring to are traditionally called group 2-3 seats, which range from 15 kg to 36, or from 100 cm to 150 cm if it has been approved with the I-size regulations. Of these, we highlight the recent addition of the EASY FIX chair, which you can install easily, which has very good cervical protection and which, for more comfort when traveling, you can fold to pick it up. The CONVI FIX chair also belongs to this category of chairs, and is a classic in our catalogue, although over time we have improved it and enriched it with safety elements. You have the current CONVI FIX chair in pink and gray, both with melange fabrics, and with a backrest that you can remove to use it as a booster in the last section of use. And the last chair for older children that we have added to our catalog is the POE chair: it is an I-size chair that goes up to 150 cm, with a reclining, isofix, folding seat, with good cervical protection, with a protection pad to prevent burning and discomfort of the belt and with an inguinal protection system that in turn allows the ventral section of the vehicle belt to be positioned more comfortably. Remember that this last type of car seat that we have described does not have safety harnesses: the safety function is performed by the vehicle's own belt, if the child is tall so that it goes from the collarbone diagonally downwards and not across the neck. It is a very common mistake in the use of these seats, both to use them ahead of time (leaving the belt on the child's neck with the danger that this entails), and to delay their use, since there are many parents who believe that it is safer for their little one to wear harnesses, even if their weight is greater than 18 kg. And it's not like that.

Always consult professionals before using the car seat incorrectly. Although we always give you this advice in almost all of our posts, regardless of the article we are sharing with you, it is especially important that you keep it in mind in car seats: it is SAFETY!!!

We hope that the review of the evolution of our catalog in the 3 posts that we wanted to share with you has been to your liking and, above all, useful. We hope to continue accompanying you for a long time!!
