You are probably, like most of us who make up the Asalvo team, a young and dynamic person, a lover and follower of new technologies, a person with concerns and who likes to stay up to date when it comes to social networks, who is constantly looking for new apps for your mobile, and who uses it for almost everything in your daily and everyday life. Now that you are going to be a mother or have recently been one, you have begun to see cribs, strollers, bathtubs, high chairs, hammocks, swings and the thousands of things that your baby will need in the first months of life. And your cell phone or smartphone has become your most faithful ally and your favorite consultation tool, above friends and family.
If you are from the generation millennial, you were practically born with your cell phone in your hand, with the cell phone as an object that is part of our nature and so integrated into our lives that we cannot do without it. If you are a little older, like some of the members of our team, between 35 and 45 years old, you are surely very used to seeing the mobile phone as something essential and you have also surely observed how the mobile phone has changed many of our habits. We are not going to talk to you about the obvious today because you are also on a childcare blog, about baby items and not in a sociological or technological forum, but we want to share with you a reasoning related to the mobile phone and that has introduced changes in some of the most popular and in-demand baby items: strollers and strollers or trios. These changes are directly related to the design and indirectly to the maneuverability of the strollers, with their practical nature, because as we constantly tell you, both the stroller and the baby stroller or trio have to be comfortable and suitable for the little ones in the house, but it also has to be functional, manageable and practical for you. And you may be thinking, what does the use of mobile phones have to do with the design of strollers or baby carriages? Let's explain it to you...

You know that there are different types of folding for the chassis of light chairs and cars: some are folded with the cane fold, sometimes called umbrella fold, lengthwise; others, however, fold into a square shape, optimizing the space in a different way... In general, the first have been the chairs that we call lifelong strollers, in which we have all walked when we were babies. These chairs traditionally have a double handlebar to facilitate folding inwards and in an elongated shape, a double handlebar for which we need both hands, to move it easily and without it going sideways. Well, given the constant attachment we have to mobile phones due to the ease with which we can interact with half the world, because they have become walking offices, playmates, music equipment and even shopping centers in version 2.0, we almost permanently need one of our hands to use them, which makes handling a stroller or a baby carriage whose chassis has double handlebars more complicated. And indeed, we have observed that since the use of mobile phones becomes widespread, more and more parents also prefer continuous handlebars. That is to say, something as trivial and assumed in society as the use of mobile phones has meant that in the childcare sector we have to introduce changes in the designs of our chassis. More and more parents prefer continuous handlebars, although this does not mean that double handlebars are not a good option: in the Asalvo catalog we still have many handlebars of this type, because it also has other advantages that we will try to tell you about in another post. It is ultimately not an aesthetic question but a practical question for dads and moms around the world who look for the most functional in their daily lives.
It is significant, as we will tell you in another post shortly, that some models highly in demand by our clients, such as the MOMA chair by Asalvo, we had to adapt to these circumstances, modifying its handlebars with an intermediate structure, which allows the same folding in the shape of a cane, but one-handed operation. This chair is the MOMA PLUS chair.

We hope that you are not one of those people who suffer from nomophobia, an addiction that has recently appeared and is worrying from the point of view of mental health, especially in young people: an addiction that involves an irrational fear of not having a cell phone, of not being able to use it. At Asalvo, we are always committed to the well-being of all our clients, and we will always be happy to help you and make your life easier: we want you to use our strollers or strollers with one or two hands, as you prefer, but that the use of your mobile phone does not make you lose a single second of the most beautiful stage you can imagine and that for you begins shortly or has done so very recently: the stage of being a mother. And remember that at Asalvo, we make everything with love.
