If a few months ago we told you about our presence in Germany, at the KIND + JUGEND childcare fair, which took place in the city of Cologne on September 8, 9 and 10, today we are going to tell you about our experience at another international fair that has taken place in our country: the BABYKID + FIMI fair, which took place in Valencia on January 24, 25 and 26. The truth is that despite having an increasingly international team and betting more and more on the internationalization of our company, we like to be prophets in our land.
The BABYKID + FIMI fair is, as the organization itself uses as a slogan, the largest exhibition offer in the universe of childhood. And ASALVO had to be there as one of the leading companies in the childcare market, in the market for all the products that the smallest of families will use in their first years of life.
If you have never been to an event of this type, we want to give you an idea of what happens there, what is experienced there. We believe that you are interested because there is one thing that cannot be disputed: from these meetings, from these meetings, from these exhibitions, the best offer will come out in terms of quality, innovation, trends and sustainability of the items that your little one will use.
Since several days before the start of the fair, we have been preparing our stand, to give our best, and to show all attendees our traditional products and our new developments and innovations. The fair has been a success for ASALVO, not only for us as a company, but also for the majority of exhibitors from Spain and other European countries, who have attended the fair. And also for our clients, from small specialized stores or large stores, who have found in this space everything they are looking for for their businesses, with a common objective for all of us who make up this universe of childcare or children's products: May you and your baby have the best.
The many hundreds of square meters of the two pavilions of the magnificent Valencia exhibition center have been planned as a route of different spaces united and aimed at satisfying the needs of people of all lifestyles. This union of spaces includes the transport and ride (which is the space in which ASALVO has the most to contribute), furniture, rest and decoration (where our contribution is also considerable), light and technical childcare (in which our work is increasingly being consolidated), toys, baskets and textiles, children's and youth fashion, footwear and accessories.
In general terms, there are four trends (and we are not referring to fashion) that we have observed in this edition of the fair and that we want to share with you, because in the end those of us who dedicate ourselves to this are the ones who set the course but we can never do it without your approval. This is what you will find in the coming months in the childcare stores that you frequent…
- More sustainable and environmentally friendly items: the eco-friendly trend, with durable products, with several functions that allow greater use, with products made with recycled materials, with products that cause minimal greenhouse gas emissions in their manufacturing and generate minimal waste, and with products of natural origin and organic fabrics. Every time at ASALVO we have presented you with a new product, we have insisted a lot on this, and we are pioneers in the manufacture of so-called multifunction products, 2 in 1, 3 in 1 products... Before launching into the design and development of a new product, we do a study of new materials that are more sustainable than the previous ones, we analyze the life cycle of the product from its origin to its probable end. It is important, not only for ASALVO but in general for all companies in the sector, to try to banish from the minds of consumers the idea that the best products for the environment and society are necessarily more expensive products. This trend of caring for the planet has been implemented in the sector for years, due to the commitment of the companies themselves, but also due to customer demand, although in this decade we are taking giant steps forward. Clients demand this type of action because you are young and have small children for whom you want to leave a cleaner and healthier planet.
- A greater presence of fashion as a trend than the designs of childcare articles of all kinds, from baby carriages and strollers to high chairs, cribs and hammocks. We do not only associate fashion with clothing and decoration: the globalized world, the world of the immediate and social networks, involves a continuous change in color trends, design, materials... Nothing escapes this constant change, and of course the childcare articles sector does not. When green is a fashion trend, it is most likely also a trend in baby strollers and light chairs; If the trend is gingham or technical fabrics, your products such as swings, bathtubs, maternity bags or carrying backpacks will not escape this trend either. It is not sheepishness but accelerated trend tracking. The monitoring of global trends, influenced and worth the redundancy, by influencers with very different profiles, has been very palpable at this fair. The fashion + childcare binomial is constantly growing: if you have seen the latest additions to our ASALVO catalogue, you will have seen that this is the case
- Related to the first aspect mentioned, The practical and functional nature of all articles is also imposed, banishing what is superficial and what has little use for what is durable, what is useful, what makes life easier and does not complicate it. How many times have we insisted to you in these months that this is one of our company's priorities? We have observed with satisfaction that this greater presence of functionality is increasingly present in products for everyday use such as strollers or baby carriages.
- And a last trend related to the type of products we manufacture at ASALVO and observed in this edition of BABYKIDS + FIMI, is the greatest concern for everything related to child safety on the road: increasingly safer car seats. The presence of car seats with ECE R-129 regulations or I-size regulations is becoming widespread, which incorporate, as we have already explained to you on different occasions, more demanding safety standards. It is up to all of us as a society to protect the most vulnerable, and not only the parents of young children, but also all car seat or CRS manufacturers.
