THE BEST TRAVEL CRIB

Everything you need to know to choose the best folding crib for your baby

Anyone who has been a mother can confirm that a travel crib is one of the essential products if you have a baby.

The reasons are obvious, as it is a multifunctional product that will offer you many uses:

  • When you are at home, in the living room, living room or area where you are working, you can have it nearby while the baby takes a nap.
  • You will also use it as a park for the child to play and be distracted without danger.
  • You will take it on a trip or to your grandparents' house so that it gives you coverage when you are not at home.
  • Change the baby comfortably and safely thanks to its changing mat, a very practical piece that is simply cleaned with a damp wipe.

In addition to the fact that they are super foldable and you will do it quickly and easily, you can take it wherever you want and its measurements are 120x60 cm. The clothing and bedding for these cribs and for wooden cribs can be the same, since the mattresses have the same size.

What should I know before choosing

There are basic folding cribs and cribs full of accessories. Let's break it down.

A basic crib will simply include four sides and a base. The Essential model that appears on the left in the photograph includes wheels with brakes and four sides, all with windows to facilitate the child's vision from any angle. The Mix crib shown on the right includes all the extras.

Accessories that the crib can carry

  • Wheels: Although it seems basic, it is not. Many cribs do not include them, especially the basic ones. Make sure if you need them that it is included, as they are a very practical complement.

  • Elevator: It is a system that allows you to raise the base of the crib to care for the baby more comfortably when it is very small.

  • Cat flap: Following the Montessory line, this crib complement allows the child to be given autonomy. The cat flap is a door that includes the crib on one of the sides and that serves to allow the little one to enter and exit.
  • Everything pocket: A large pocket where you can keep everything you need close at hand, from toys to a blanket in case it gets cold.

  • Changer: This is a product that requires your attention. Always choose it with the regulations, there are changing tables on the market that do not comply with the latest safety regulations. How to identify them? Look only for those that include this phrase and the approval label.

  • Pockets on the changing mat: To have everything at hand when changing, choose changing tables that incorporate pockets for diapers and wipes. This is, without a doubt, another point that will make your life easier.

  • Toymaker: An arch full of color for the baby to observe, play and be entertained. It can be taken off and put on, moved around and can even be put on the changing table.

  • Carrying bag: It makes it easy to carry it from one place to another, but the best of all is that it allows you to store it taking up very little space and protecting it from dirt and dust.

  • Decorated: Last but not least, we have to talk about the illustrations. It is undoubtedly much more expensive as you illustrate the crib, the exteriors, the handrail, the mattress... Decide if you want a plain one or a full-color crib with beautiful and cheerful drawings that stimulate the baby.

Now it's up to you to decide what features you want your travel or folding crib to have.
